The Venetian Method is a dystopian alt-rock/nu metal universe that blends glitch-drenched sonics with distortion-fed layers and melodic tension. Fans of early 2000s heavy music with a modern conceptual twist will feel at home here.

Based in Minneapolis, MN, The Venetian Method is the alternative rock project of Brandon Scott Jacobson—a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and longtime industry professional. Having worked in nearly every part of the music industry—from VIP touring to producing and performing —this solo project is an immersive world where creativity is a form of rebellion.

Inspired by the centuries-old oil painting technique of the same name, The Venetian Method builds music in layers—much like glazes and textures used by classical painters to manipulate light and shadow. Every track begins with a solid foundation—whether it’s a riff, groove, or lyrical idea—then expands into an emotionally resonant soundscape through intentional layering. Filtered vocals, atmospheric textures, and delayed accents are strategically placed to guide the listener’s emotional and visceral experience.

The debut singles, Break The Chains and Parable, mark the project’s opening “transmission” in a long-form narrative. Break The Chains delivers raw, heavy metal energy and relentless force, while Parable contrasts with eerie acoustic textures, introspective lyrics, rapped verses, and soaring choruses. Released together, they showcase the project’s sonic versatility and emotional authenticity.
